Architectural firm Roman & Williams raises the design bar with the Viceroy Hotel project.
57th Street in New York City just got a whole lot more glamorous and sexy with the recent opening of the Viceroy Hotel, design firm Roman & Williams respectful nod to a golden bygone-era emboldened with a sensitivity and style all their own.
Decked out in iroko wood, brass, aluminum and leather, the Viceroy gleams like a honey-colored jewel…1930s-40s sexiness with a modern twist. Although new from the ground up, the Viceroy possesses a timeless quality, looking as if has been around for a hundred years, and to R&W partners Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch as well as the many fans of their design aesthetic are concerned, that’s a good thing… A very good thing indeed.
